so it's been a really weird year.

got cash and gift cards for christmas. not complaining but am i the only one who misses unwrapping things??

but anyway.
1 month of holidays down, 4 to go.
spent this month..... working like a dog.
and thus the decision to take jan off because i have a bunch of stuff to tick off my post o's list!!
i'll be freezing to death in some forsaken part of china for half of the month anyway.

i also decided to grow my hair out.
which means investing in head wear to see me through the awkward hair length.
but have no fear, christmas gift cards are here.
(yeah i should totally go into advertising and come up with cheesy tag lines for useless products)

past week has been really wonderful.

Rei&Mimi's super cute wedding last saturday was............ super cute. other than the part where the two photographers stood in front of the couple during the kiss, blocking half the congregation. but all's still good.
BBQ after, which comprised of an eating competition. this close to puking my guts out.

and then somehow miraculously making it through the first horrible 3 days of prelims.

went to chinatown with mandy on thursday for XLB and thrift shopping. best buy of the day: a 3-dollar dress ($2.90 actually). quite impressed with how much my spending has been reduced. and yes i know there were papers the next day but cmon.......................... it was mcq.

and today, in celebration of the end of week of hell, met zi girlz at newton circus for a **VICTORY FEAST** :-)
rlly good time with these retards. and lots of camwhoring. i fear that i might actually ne turning into a b____o. double sigh. starbux @ town after to play cards aha.

other plans in september include raya-ing (?) with the queensway kids and rei & mimi's wedding. first independent wedding i'll be attending without any relatives! we so excited + troubled over what to wear. prelims aside, it'll be a wuuunderful month.

how's life? life is strange, as usual. but still always full of surprises.

throat is killing. swear i feel a tumour.

so N'ways, currently at my cousin's place and i must say, they're probably one of the biggest blessings in my life. and amidst my current spiritual uncertainty, i still find myself thanking God for them. don't know where i'd be without 'em.

school's been okay.
ok scratch that, it's been hell.
the frequent "oh yay it's nearly two! school's en- oh right we still have IR till 4.30 whoopee i love life", and the moaning in between classes due to our overworked brains.

harry potter tomorrow! can't wait to see rupert grint, cutest boy ever.

so here's to surviving one more day of the shithole before the weekend comes.
